The Two Shepherds
"If Brad was 24, this was 1985, so was in The Sunday Mail.
Usually had a staff photographer take the pix but couldn't talk one into going to the Mansfield Tavern at midnight or whenever it was, so I took this shot. I was quite pleased with the pic. I like the looks on Brad & Murray's faces.
First saw the Gurus at the Jump Club in Collingwood; late 82 or early 83. Great night."

I recorded this off TV back in about 1985 I think.
It's been bugging me for years.
As far as I know they're a Brisbane band.

The Johnnys - Gig Poster
I ripped this one off the wall after a gig in sunny Brisbane one night, it must have been about 1985.
Just for curiosity sake I had a bit of a surf and found out the original banknote is a 1913 Mexican 10 peso note stated to be from The State bank of Chihuahua (El Banco Del Estado de Chihuahua). This money was not legal tender and was used by local Mexican militia to pay troops.

Painters and Dockers
Melbourne band Painters and Dockers play a transvestite show, now that doesn't happen every day does it?They were great to see live, I must admit I don't remember all of the gigs I saw (That means I must have had a great time) but I do remember seeing them every time they toured.

Furious Turtles - live photos
The Furious Turtles (Brisbane's first ska band) live at The Glen Hotel Ska-b-Que and Amyl's Nightspace.
They released one 12"ep but the recordings on it didn't even come close to how good they were live.
These were taken around 1984-1985.

The Johnnys - live photos
A few photos I took of The Johnnys in about 1985 at Easts Leagues Club in Brisbane.
The Johnnys were one of the most enjoyable bands I have seen, I always made sure I saw them every time they toured.
Their gigs started with a roadie wheeling out a bar fridge full of VB and when they got on stage their main priority seemed to be to polish the lot off before they finished.
You were always guaranteed a great night out.
