An interview with Marty Burke on the future of Razar.
1983
Magazine clippings I used to cut out of newspapers and the music press back in my youth.

I Don't Talk To Popstars
A nice little poem from Atilla The Stockbroker from the pages of Punk Lives.
Saw him back in 1993 at the Uni of QLD and it was one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen, laughed my ass off!

Shaming Of The True
Hailing from Toowoomba, QLD, back in the early 80s came The Shaming of the True. Members of the band all lived in Ascot House, a decaying old place which had been divided up into a number of flats.
Members of the band included Will Hogg, Toni Rosser, Ken Hinton and David Whatson.
I recorded this on my sisters old cassette deck sitting on the counter at the famous Dancing Bear Cafe back in 1983. The sound quality isn't too bad considering the age of the tape.

Down in Elizabeth Arcade
A bit of advertising material from some Brizzie fanzine for one of the New Wave clothes shops by the name of "Fantales" that used to be in Elizabeth Arcade back in the early 80s.
The girl in the photo was Janice Jetson, who used to work in the store before moving to Sydney with her band "The Mindsweepers"
1983.

The Dead Kennedys Tour Australia
Found this on an old video tape I just unearthed...
The Dead Kennedys tour Australia back in 1983 so the local media finally gives them a bit of air time on the morning news show.
Thanks god for Australian independant radio stations like 4ZzZ, 'cos that was the only station that played them at the time.

The Glen Hotel Ska-B-Que
An ad and a bit of a writeup for one of the Ska-B-Ques (or is it a Sca-B-Que??) at Brisbane's Glen Hotel, they held two of these as far as I can recall. They were great fun and the best I'd ever seen The Strange Tenants and The Furious Turtles. It was 1983 I think. This is a precursor to some up and coming posts of photos I took of both the bands and they will appear in coming weeks.
If you did go to these gigs leave some feedback.
