I've really enjoyed some of these articles! ... I just wish my mum didn't burn most of my old mags and cuttings in the backyard incinerator sometime last century. What on earth possessed her???!!!

Hey! I can't tell you how much the picture/article of Jello Biafra's wedding means to me. I was 10 at the time and pretty clueless, but as I am today I had been looking all over just for what you provided here. I will be a return visitor and I will spread the word!

  9. Hi, I used to be an announcer at ZZZ from 86 to 91. I was watching the ABC tonight when Kyie Kwong used the word 'scholars', which immediately made me think of the Sydney band The Skolars. Which is how I found your blog.

Thank you so much! Now if there were only a way I could listen to their music again...

Please keep this going! Thank you!

  12. Gday
I came across your blog and album archive while looking for Mystery of Sixes info. Great stuff!

That 24-2-09 entry reminded me that I have an article/interview with Les from 2001, talking about Mystery bootlegs, gigs, and history. Let me know if you'd like a copy.

I've also got some late 80s singles and eps that you might like to add, from Hard-ons, Celibate Rifles, and Insane Hombres.

Finally, you got me inspired! It's a bit on the daggy side compared to your site, and covers a later period, but I'm having fun making it.

  15. Hi Bazzil. Love the blog, and the site. I came across a yahoo post asking about Love Party's "Dance To The Rhythm Of Christ". I think that was you? Anyways, what I would give to hear that song again. I did some 2am till 6am shifts at ZZZ in the early 80s & if remember correctly the song wasnt released to the public, ZZZ had a demo 1/4 inch sent to them which they transferred to an audio cart for ease of playback by the DJs. Have you ever come across the track?
Cheers & keep up the good work. BR

  16. Yeah, it was me.
I haven't come across it sorry to say. I did have it on cassette many years ago but that's disappeared.
So if you do get a copy give me a buzz.

    Cheers

  26. heya bazzil,
Any joy yet in tracking down a copy of Love Party's "Dance to the Rhythm of Christ"?

I just had a friend ask me if I knew where / how she could hear it again and I've trawled my old recorded off the radio 4ZZZ tapes thinking it may have been lurking on one ... but alas no.

Love to know how the search for this holy grail is going ...

Hope all is booming and zooming, mate.

    3. Glad you got the message. I wasn't sure if this Guestbook was still active. I originally saw your post on the Ausrock site, and then remembered the YouTube upload by louiesound. Was going to post the link there but I'm not a member of the Ausrock Forum - must get around to signing up there one day. Sorry about the anonymous post - didn't know you could simply type in a username.

      Regards
